The Vintage Canon PowerShot A720 IS Digicam is a compact digital camera with a sleek silver color and a fixed lens mount. With a maximum resolution of 8.0 MP and 6x optical zoom, this camera from 2007 offers 4x digital zoom capabilities and video recording in 640 x 480 resolution. As part of the Canon PowerShot series, this camera from the brand Canon is a reliable and tested working option for capturing high-quality images and videos. Ideal for photography enthusiasts looking for a versatile and dependable digital camera for their collection.
AA batteries not included. It is recommended to use NiMh/Lithium rechargeable AA batteries. There is a little corrosion on the battery contact terminals (see photos) but it does not affect functionality and has been mostly cleaned.
This camera comes pre-loaded with a 32GB SD Card running CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit).
What is it? It’s software that runs off the SD card to unlock "Pro" features Canon hid from the factory.
What you get: Live Battery Percentage indicator, RAW image shooting, custom overlays, and even retro games like Tetris/Snake right on the camera screen.
Don't want it? Just format the card, and it goes back to a standard stock camera.
The max SD card capacity for this camera model is 32GB. I also attached a brand new wrist strap and installed a new fresh CR1220 clock battery.
You get what you see in the photos. Feel free to message me any questions you have.
Note: The battery door handle was designed in a way so that it may stick in the middle, preventing the camera from powering on (it doesn't recognize the door as closed). You just need to apply a tiny bit more pressure for the handle to go all the way to the left, completing the circuit and allowing the camera to power on. I disassembled and cleaned the door mechanism so it shouldn't do this anymore, but sometimes it sticks.
