The Vintage Canon PowerShot A530 Digicam/Digital Camera is a compact camera with a 5.0 MP maximum resolution and 4x optical zoom. It features auto focus and a CCD sensor, making it a reliable choice for capturing high-quality images. This silver camera, weighing 6 oz, can be powered by AA batteries, making it convenient for travel. Tested and confirmed to be in working condition, this Canon PowerShot A530 is a perfect option for those seeking a lightweight and easy-to-use digital camera for their photography needs.
AA batteries not included. It is recommended to use NiMh/Lithium rechargeable AA batteries. There is a little corrosion on the battery contact terminals (see photos) but it does not affect functionality and has been mostly cleaned. The flash, zoom, screen, buttons, memory, have all been tested working.
This camera comes pre-loaded with a 2GB SD Card running CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit).
What is it? It’s software that runs off the SD card to unlock "Pro" features Canon hid from the factory.
What you get: Live Battery Percentage indicator, RAW image shooting, custom overlays, and even retro games like Tetris/Snake right on the camera screen.
Don't want it? Just format the card, and it goes back to a standard stock camera.
The max SD card capacity for this camera model is 2GB. I also attached a brand new wrist strap. Comes with new fresh CR1220 battery preinstalled.
Does not include box or other accessories, only camera and SD card are included. The rubber side tab is not attached to the camera, but will click in and stay there until you pop it off. You get what you see in the pictures. Feel free to message me any questions you have.
Note: These cameras are well over 15 years old, so their components are aging. I can make no guarantee on how much longer these cameras will last. On this specific camera, the lens on rare occasions will "stick" (requiring a light tap with your finger) and sometimes the battery indicator will show "low battery" despite the batteries being full. This happens on very rare occasions, but there is always the chance it does. Besides those rare occurrences, the camera works great.
