The Vintage Canon PowerShot A590 IS Digital Camera is a compact unit with a maximum resolution of 8.0 MP, featuring a 4x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom capabilities. With a maximum aperture of f/2.6 and a 2.5-inch screen size, this camera is lightweight at 6.17 oz. and powered by AA batteries. The camera, part of the Canon PowerShot series, includes features such as auto-focus and connectivity via USB. It comes with a new 32GB SD card, making it a practical and reliable choice for capturing memories in a compact and user-friendly package.
AA batteries not included. It is recommended to use NiMh/Lithium rechargeable AA batteries. The battery contact terminals are spotless and free from corrosion.
This camera comes pre-loaded with a NEW 32GB Micro-SD Card + full-size adapter running CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit).
What is it? It’s software that runs off the SD card to unlock "Pro" features Canon hid from the factory.
What you get: Live Battery Percentage indicator, RAW image shooting, custom overlays, and even retro games like Tetris/Snake right on the camera screen.
Don't want it? Just format the card, and it goes back to a standard stock camera.
The max SD card capacity for this camera model is 32GB. I also attached a brand new wrist strap. Comes with new fresh CR1220 battery preinstalled.
Note: The original mode selector switch (to switch between photo and playback mode) was lost, so I 3D printed a custom "dummy" placeholder to fill the space. By default, when you power on the camera, it goes into taking photos mode. If you want to switch to playback mode, I programmed it in the CHDK so that when you press the "trash" button, it will switch to playback, and pressing it again will take you back to photo mode.
Does not include box or other accessories, only camera and SD card are included. You get what you see in the pictures. Feel free to message me any questions you have.
